Babies who need medical care will be treated in the perinatology room. Babies who can be treated are full-term babies up to 28 days old and under-month babies or babies with low birth weight (LBW).
Persada Hospital Perinatology consists of:
- Healthy baby room or the room used by the baby during the joint care between the baby and the mother after delivery
- Perinatology pathology is a treatment room for infants if they need special therapies such as pharmacological therapy under the supervision of a pediatrician at Persada Hospital
The NICU room provides facilities including:
- Transport incubator: an incubator that can be used for transportation of premature babies.
- Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) SLE 1000: a breathing assistance tool for infants by providing positive air pressure and a back up for infant with respiratory arrest.
- Baby warmers are used to provide warmth to newborn babies where the baby needs a temperature of the mother's womb which is 35 '- 37 'Celsius.
- Incubators are used to help premature infants maintain optimal body temperature. The temperature control on the baby incubator can be automatically adjusted to the temperature of the baby. In addition, baby incubators can also moisturize the air which can keep some skin problems away from the babies.
- Bilisphere or a device used to reduce excess bilirubin levels in infants.
- Single phototherapy or baby’s light therapy in the NICU will be cared for by pediatricians with special expertise. The NICU also provides nurses who are ready to provide 24-hour service.
