Transcranial Doppler (TCD) is a device used to detect blood flow specifically in the head and brain area. TCD works similarly to an ultrasound (USG) tool that does not use radiation and does not require surgical measures. TCD examination is relatively simple and requires no special preparation.

Who can have TCD done?

Patients with diabetes mellitus, hypertension, heart disease, anemia, high cholesterol, pre stroke, post stroke, etc.

Advantages:

a. Can be used to determine blood vessel blockage.

b. Can be used for destruction of blood vessel blockage therapy.

c. Safe with no side effects and no radiation.
